(Hiring) Lead Product Development Chemist

We are seeking Lead Product Development Chemist to become a part of our team! You will provide overall support to attorneys' business needs. 

Responsibilities:

Lead and manage projects to design, formulate, and test sealants and adhesives that meet customer requirements and are based on an understanding of chemistry and interactions.
Spend approximately 70% of time on product development, including formulation and testing, and 30% on collaboration and technology development.
Oversee and mentor junior team members to execute on design, including formulation and testing.
Manage project timelines and deliverables, including project management, capturing updates, meeting internally and externally, and reporting.
Monitor the technology landscape, including the patent landscape, and produce new patents.
Collaborate with external universities and companies to improve technology and develop new products.
 

Qualifications:

A PhD in Organic Chemistry, Materials Science, Materials Engineering, or Polymer Science is required.
3 or more years of experience in the field of sealants, adhesives, composites, or coatings is required.
You have a deep understanding of the interactions between organic and inorganic components in composite materials, and the ability to engineer and design these materials to meet customer requirements.
A background in Organic Chemistry is particularly relevant for this position, as most sealants are composite materials with organic components and inorganic fillers. However, candidates with backgrounds in Materials Science, Materials Engineering, or Polymer Science may also be a good fit based on their knowledge of the properties and interactions of these materials.
Attention to detail and good organizational skills.
Strong collaboration skills and a desire to work in a team-oriented, global environment are important.
Strong work ethic, be highly engaged and responsible, and be open-minded and responsive to feedback.
Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident.
