Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Immigration Attorney to join our legal team. This role involves providing expert legal counsel and representation in various immigration matters, ensuring clients navigate complex immigration laws effectively and efficiently. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of immigration law, along with experience in litigation, client advocacy, and legal research. Duties

  • Advise clients on immigration options, processes, and compliance requirements across diverse cases
  • Prepare, review, and submit immigration applications, petitions, and related documentation accurately
  • Represent clients in immigration court proceedings, including hearings and appeals
  • Conduct legal research using tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw to stay current on immigration laws and regulations
  • Draft legal motions, briefs, and correspondence to support case strategies
  • Manage case files efficiently using legal case management systems while ensuring confidentiality
  • Negotiate with government agencies and other parties to facilitate favorable outcomes for clients
  • Prepare clients for court depositions, interviews, and hearings through thorough coaching
  • Collaborate with colleagues on complex litigation cases involving employment law, family law, or other related areas
  • Maintain clear communication with clients regarding case status, legal options, and procedural steps
  • Support the development of legal strategies through detailed research on statutory law and procedural regulations

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school; admission to the bar in relevant jurisdiction required
  • Proven experience practicing immigration law with a track record of successful case handling
  • Strong knowledge of estate planning, environmental law, landlord-tenant law, family law, securities law, workers' compensation law, tribal law & regulations, patent law, personal injury law, employment law, and general & commercial litigation is highly desirable
  • Proficiency in legal research platforms such as LexisNexis and Westlaw
  • Excellent legal writing skills with the ability to draft clear and persuasive documents
  • Demonstrated experience in court depositions, trial preparation, and legal motion preparation
  • Skilled in negotiation and client communication to foster trust and clarity
  • Familiarity with procedural law knowledge relevant to litigation processes
  • Ability to manage multiple cases efficiently while maintaining attention to detail
  • Strong organizational skills complemented by prior law office experience
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development in immigration law and related fields
