Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Workers Compensation Hearing Representatives to join our legal team, specializing in workers' compensation cases and administrative hearings. This role involves representing clients during hearings, preparing case documentation, and ensuring compliance with legal procedures. The ideal candidate will possess strong analysis skills, legal knowledge, and exceptional organizational abilities to effectively advocate for clients and manage complex case workflows. Responsibilities

  • Prepare for and represent clients at workers' compensation hearings, ensuring all procedural requirements are met.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support case strategies and arguments.
  • Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and correspondence, utilizing precise legal terminology.
  • Manage case files using case management software and document management systems such as iManage.
  • Review and proofread all case-related documents to maintain accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, insurance carriers, medical providers, and other stakeholders regarding case status and procedural updates.
  • Enter data accurately into case management systems, maintaining comprehensive records of all case activities.
  • Assist with legal discovery processes by organizing evidence and preparing documentation for hearings.
  • Handle administrative tasks such as filing documents electronically or physically within required deadlines.
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism while handling sensitive or confidential information.
  • Support the legal team with general administrative duties to ensure smooth workflow operations.

Skills

  • Strong analysis skills with the ability to interpret complex legal information quickly.
  • Paralegal experience or law office experience related to workers’ compensation is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in legal drafting, including pleadings, motions, and correspondence.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) for document creation and communication.
  • Excellent proofreading skills to ensure accuracy in all legal documents.
  • Experience with case management software and document management systems like iManage.
  • Data entry skills with attention to detail for maintaining precise records.
  • Familiarity with legal research techniques and legal terminology relevant to workers’ compensation law.
  • Ability to handle confidential information discreetly and professionally.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple cases efficiently under tight deadlines.
  • Effective client communication skills to provide clear updates and professional support.
  • Knowledge of law office procedures including filing, document management, and client service standards.
