Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Paralegals to join our legal team. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive support across various practice areas, including estate planning, environmental law, family law, civil litigation, and more. This role involves assisting attorneys with legal research, document preparation, case management, and client communication to ensure efficient and effective legal operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, proficiency in legal software and research tools, and a thorough understanding of procedural law and legal support processes.

Duties:

  • Conduct legal research using Westlaw, LexisNexis, and other legal databases to support case development.
  • Draft, review, and proofread legal documents such as pleadings, contracts, affidavits, and correspondence with precision.
  • Manage case files and document review processes utilizing document management systems like iManage.
  • Assist with client interviews and maintain confidentiality while handling sensitive information.
  • Support attorneys in preparing for hearings, trials, and depositions through meticulous organization of case materials.
  • Handle data entry, filing, and tracking of legal documents to ensure compliance with procedural law requirements.
  • Coordinate project management activities related to estate planning, land use projects, or litigation cases.
  • Provide administrative support including scheduling appointments, managing calendars, and maintaining communication with clients.
  • Support the firm’s administrative functions by handling executive administrative tasks efficiently.
  • Maintain knowledge of UCC law (Uniform Commercial Code), securities law, tribal regulations, patent law, workers' compensation law, personal injury law, immigration law, landlord-tenant law, and family law to assist in relevant cases.

Experience:

  • Paralegal experience in a fast-paced legal environment with exposure to multiple practice areas such as civil litigation, estate planning, environmental law, or family law.
  • Proven ability to perform legal research using Westlaw and LexisNexis effectively.
  • Familiarity with legal case management software including PCLaw and document management systems like iManage.
  • Strong understanding of procedural laws across various jurisdictions.
  • Experience supporting litigation processes from document review to trial preparation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) for drafting documents and managing case data.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration.
  • Knowledge of legal administrative procedures including filing systems and document management best practices.
  • Ability to handle confidential information discreetly while maintaining professionalism at all times.
