Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist specializing in Medical-Surgical (MedSurg) settings to join our healthcare team. In this vital role, you will assess, plan, and implement individualized treatment programs to enhance patient recovery and mobility. Your expertise will support a diverse patient population, including geriatric, orthopedic, neurological, and post-surgical cases within inpatient hospital environments. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care across various healthcare settings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients’ physical conditions, including mobility, strength, and functional capacity
  • Develop and implement personalized treatment plans aligned with physicians’ orders and patient needs
  • Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate care strategies
  • Monitor patient progress regularly and adjust treatment approaches to optimize outcomes
  • Document clinical findings accurately in electronic health records (EHR) systems following established standards
  • Assist with discharge planning by evaluating patients’ home environments and recommending appropriate community resources
  • Provide education to patients and their families regarding rehabilitation exercises, safety precautions, and post-discharge care
  • Manage care plans for diverse populations, including geriatric, pediatric, neurological, and orthopedic patients
  • Utilize advanced physiotherapy techniques such as trigger point therapy and physiologic modalities to facilitate recovery
  • Ensure compliance with clinical documentation standards and healthcare regulations

Requirements:

  • Valid license or certification to practice as a licensed Physical Therapist in the respective region or country
  • Proven experience working in acute care hospital settings with inpatient populations
  • Demonstrated expertise in outpatient clinic or outpatient rehabilitation center environments preferred
  • Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and clinical documentation standards
  • Experience in discharge planning, care plan development, and working with home health or community care services
  • Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems such as EMR platforms for documentation management
  • Hands-on experience with outpatient rehabilitation techniques for orthopedics, neurology, pediatrics, and geriatrics
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients of diverse backgrounds and collaborate seamlessly with healthcare professionals
  • Working knowledge of physiotherapy practices including trigger point therapy and patient rehabilitation strategies
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in clinical documentation and treatment execution
