Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Senior Director of Long-Range Research Initiative & Applied Science Strategies to lead our global research and development efforts within the pharmaceutical industry. Duties

  • Develop and implement comprehensive long-range research strategies aligned with corporate goals, focusing on innovative scientific approaches and emerging therapeutic areas.
  • Lead and oversee multidisciplinary teams engaged in clinical research, experimental design, data analysis, and scientific publications to ensure high-quality outputs.
  • Manage large-scale research projects, including clinical trials management, IND (Investigational New Drug) applications, and regulatory submissions in accordance with FDA, EMA, and other international regulations.
  • Foster cross-functional collaboration among R&D, clinical development, regulatory affairs, and external partners to streamline project execution.
  • Oversee budgeting processes for research initiatives, ensuring optimal allocation of resources while maintaining compliance with biomedical regulatory standards.
  • Communicate effectively with regulatory authorities regarding clinical trial conduct, drug regulation compliance, and scientific data interpretation.
  • Utilize statistical analysis tools such as SPSS and SAS for research data analysis to inform decision-making and strategy refinement.
  • Lead efforts in scientific research publication efforts to disseminate findings within the scientific community.
  • Ensure all research activities adhere to Good Clinical Practice (GCP), Good Laboratory Practice (GLP), and other relevant biomedical regulatory requirements.
  • Drive innovation by identifying emerging trends in biomedical research and integrating them into strategic planning.

Experience

  • Extensive management experience leading scientific research teams within a pharmaceutical or biotechnology environment.
  • Proven track record in supervising clinical trials management, experimental design, statistical analysis for research, and drug development processes.
  • Demonstrated expertise in strategic planning for long-term research initiatives with a focus on innovation in biomedical sciences.
  • Strong background in clinical research compliance, including familiarity with ICH GCP guidelines, FDA regulations, EMA regulations, and drug regulation standards.
  • Experience managing large budgets for R&D projects while maintaining operational efficiency.
  • Skilled in cross-functional communication with regulatory authorities for clinical trials and investigational new drug (IND) applications.
  • Proficiency with statistical software such as SPSS and SAS for data interpretation and analysis.
  • Prior experience managing scientific publications and overseeing multiple complex research projects simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities in senior or executive roles within pharmaceutical companies or related sectors.
  • Advanced understanding of biomedical regulatory compliance requirements across multiple jurisdictions.
